SFCB Podcast #10 (July 2012) - An Indie Affair

Since I started doing these podcasts I enjoyed sharing not just music I like, but also independent music that I like.  A lot of times there are some fantastic local acts that are really good and just need to get that attention that the mainstreamers do.  Sometimes all you need is that love from the fans and that's what can push you forward, once those fans then spread the word.

And so each month while I put a good deal of mainstream music in, I always make sure to put indie artists in.  Well this month I decided to make the entire podcast indie only artists.   To the best of my knowledge, none of these artists are signed to major labels (or at least they weren't when they made the track).

Almost all of these tracks or off of the respective artists current/newest release, with the exception of a small handful.   Some of the artists I'm profiling are producers, rappers, singers, or instrumentalists.   The range of genre is staggering on this, and as such it was a pain to try to come up with some sort of tracklist order that would allow the songs to seamlessly transition into each other (using Audacity).

Sadly with the wide range of not only styles but also BPM's that was a major headache that just wasn't able to be done.  Although I think I did a fairly good job with what I was working with.

All these tracks are co-signed by myself, and I've included their twitter handles linked (just click on their names) so if you see someone you like and want to connect with, now you can.

If you're an artist or producer out there who wants to work with any of these artists, producers, singers, etc then now you have a way to contact them.   I hope this podcast will help these artists shine even more than they already do.

Also I've included the city that each artist is from, so hopefully if the artists on this podcast hear it and they like what they hear from other artists on here they may be able to network and potentially work together.   Indie artists are the lifeblood of music, no matter what genre.     Gotta support it.

As always, thanks to Kyle Murdock (aka K-Murdock aka NeoSonix) for helping out with the intro that I use each month on my podcast.   And big shout out to Miami Kaos  for coming through with the awesome Podcast Artwork that I use each month.  Excellent work, my friend as always.

And now as the saying goes, "Let the show.....Begin!"
